New A Chrome extension that keeps your shopping to itself

Same item.
Lower price.
Nobody watching.

On any product page, Sidelane quietly checks other stores for that exact item and says how much you would save, in plain words. If you are not ready to buy, it keeps an eye on the price for you.

What you could save

$830a year

You could save about $830 a year just by buying the same things from the store that charges less. The exact same item often costs more at one store than another, and most people never check.

How we got $830: 18.8% of $4,415. It's an estimate from the public research above, not a number from Sidelane users. We don't track what you buy, so we can't see what you save. What you actually save depends on what you shop for and whether another store has it for less.

How it works

It works off to the side.
You keep shopping.

Sidelane never moves the buy button, takes over the page, or opens tabs in front of you. The lookups happen in the background.

01

Open a product

A small card appears in the lower-left corner. It does not cover the buy box or take the cursor away from what you were doing.

02

See what you'd save

It checks Google, Amazon, Walmart, and Bing Shopping for the same item and tells you right away, like “You'd save $38 at Store B.” Only prices it actually saw are shown. A coupon appears only when a real code is on the page.

03

Hear when it drops

Choose “Tell me if it gets cheaper.” Sidelane rechecks every couple of hours and shows a Chrome notice when the price is lower.

Inside Sidelane

The parts you'll
actually see.

These are layouts from the extension, with example items.

Your list

Every price you've checked, in one place.

Drops are highlighted in orange. Stop alerts, open the store, or remove an item, and the list tells you right away what happened.

Toolbar

One click from anywhere.

The toolbar icon counts the drops you haven't opened yet. Click it to bring the card back or open Your list.

Alerts

A notice when it's cheaper.

It's an ordinary Chrome notice on this computer. There's no email, and we don't need your phone number.

The whole point

Checking a price shouldn't build a profile of you.

Most shopping tools pay for themselves by learning what you buy. Sidelane is built the other way around. The product, the price, and your list stay in this browser. A small model shipped inside the extension reads the page right on this computer.
